Rodamiento de bolas de contacto angular de doble hilera
Four-point contact ball bearings are separable radial single-row angular contact ball bearings, belonging to the basic components of industrial machinery, mainly used in high axial load scenarios such as engines, lifting machinery, and robots [1-2]. Their inner and outer rings adopt a peach-shaped cross-section raceway design, forming four-point contact between the steel balls and the raceways under no load or pure radial load, and switching to two-point contact under pure axial load, thus combining the functions of single and double-row angular contact bearings and capable of withstanding combined radial and bidirectional axial loads.
These bearings employ a split inner or outer ring structure. Models such as WJZW utilize a double-half inner ring design to accommodate more steel balls, increasing load-bearing capacity. The contact angle is typically 35° or 45°. Compared to double-row bearings, they offer advantages such as smaller axial space, higher limiting speed, and smaller axial clearance. The split structure facilitates installation and allows for optimized lubrication when combined with cylindrical roller bearings. Typical specifications cover bore diameters of 16-650mm and speeds of 1500-17000r/min, suitable for bolt preload torque control and regular lubrication maintenance.
I. Four-point contact ball bearings are a type of radial single-row angular contact ball bearing. The raceways are designed to support axial loads acting in two directions. Four-point contact ball bearings can withstand radial loads up to a fraction of the axial load. Compared to double-row bearings, four-point contact ball bearings require significantly less axial space.
The WJZW four-point contact ball bearing designed by QJ has a contact angle of 35° or 45°. The inner ring is a composite inner ring. This allows for a larger number of balls to be installed in the bearing, thus providing a higher load-bearing capacity. This WJZW four-point contact ball bearing is a separable design, meaning the outer ring with the ball and cage assembly can be installed separately from the two inner ring halves.
II. The inner ring (or outer ring) of a four-point contact ball bearing is precisely assembled from two half-rings. The radius of curvature of its overall outer periphery (or inner ring) is very small, ensuring contact between the balls and the inner and outer rings at four points. This increases radial load capacity while simultaneously allowing it to withstand large axial loads in both directions within a compact size. It also provides excellent axial restraint in both directions due to its relatively small axial clearance and large contact angle (typically 35°).
III. Four-point contact ball bearings also have very high permissible speeds and run very smoothly. Their two half-rings can be removed from the bearing assembly for separate installation. Therefore, four-point contact ball bearings are widely used in engines because they can withstand large radial and axial loads at high speeds.
